Sixth Form
My First blog post in a while and I am lucky enough to be writing this on an apple iPad, so please excuse the typos!. Sixth form at DC is not very different from previous years, apart from the fact that you have a lot more time on your hands, and it is how you utilize that time that will decide your fate in life!
In my case only continuing with 4 subjects has been a blessing , you do subjects that help you in the long term in life, not ones that will make you a bore to listen to. Maths for example, although extremely boring, and difficult it is worthwhile as a large number of jobs require this. And at the end of the day that is what we go to school for …. Discuss
Right! I am afraid I am going to have to leave you there, SGU starts shortly and my fingers are becoming more and more battered by the second.

The latest trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops has just been released.
It features a sneak peak at new kill streaks, such as the remote control car!
A similar gun and run strategy to MW2, and some new interesting weapons, such as a crossbow.
Will it live up to expectations and be more popular than MW2, a difficult question, we will have to wait till November 9th to find out!
Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, which is better?
As you may or may not no I am interested in the field of online gaming. I currently own both an Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3. You will probably be asking the common question “which one is better?”, and as you have probably gathered over the past couple of years there is no quick answer, highly regarded magazines such as Stuff regard the PS3 as being the better console, however on this occasion, I have to disagree.
In the long run yes the PS3 has it in the bag, a replaceable hardrive with ease, which can easily quadruple the Xbox 360s current maximum capacity of 250 GB. A faster processer, built in WIFI, free online experience, and most importantly a Blu-ray drive. Despite all these things I still prefer the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 might not have all of these things but it does what is is meant to do play games. Good games, and it plays them well. The PS3 has very few exclusive games these days and the ones it does have are sometimes shadowed by the late release of downloadable content, examples of this include the latest MW2 map packs in which they are delayed by a month but also GTA4 - Grand Theft Auto 4, in which the map packs were at least 10 months behind! The Xbox also has some great exclusive titles including the Halo franchise and Gears of War, and nothing on the PS3 comes close.
In terms of the online services comparison at first the Playstation network looks like a better option, of course it does its free! Although connectivity at first is easier with built in Wifi with the PS3 the online aspects are poor. It is not yet possible to talk to friends that are not playing the same game as you, this is a feature that Xbox users take for granted right from day one, and recently you can speak to more people at once, similar to a conference call. The PS3 marketing strategy on the Play Station store is also poor. Although many jokes have been made concerning Microsoft points, it is a good idea, it makes people less likely to actually think about what they are doing, 800MS does not seam as bad as 8 or 9.50 (depending on how much you bought them for), as 8.99 as the playstation store does.
In terms of communication across Xbox live I can barely fault it, with almost unlimited calls to someone your friends with. And multiple people talking at once, it tops the PS3 every time. The only downside as I see it is the £35 pond per year on Xbox live, but thinking about it you were ripped of by Sony for the extra £50 anyway it should not really matter.
So to conclude in my opinion the Xbox for the meantime has this one in the bag, I am cringing while I write this being a Mac user, you know my feelings are strong, although the Sony has great potential it needs to get a good number of game developers behind it and sort about PARTY chat, and don’t start charging for premium services that was one thing you did have going for you.

My First Blog Post
WOW, not the game you nerd! - - My first blog post this is unreal, its like typing to myself I can now expand my global empire even further. What to talk about an interesting question … lets start with how easy it was to set up a tumbler account .. pretty easy in comparison to other websites I have tried, only 3 fields to fill in, pretty simple if you ask me!
I’m sorry if that bored you but that was my first time and I promise I will be better in the future.
